Ever, Microsoft will introduce a portable Xbox. I heard some rumors of Xbox 180's portable system, but this fact. One thing is certain, but if Microsoft did not launch a portable Xbox will be killing the PSP and DS.

This is a rumor, but it may be true. Microsoft has remained silent when asked whether the development of portable XBX. Microsoft did not deny nor confirm. However, if this is true, it is only at an early stage of development.

This will be a tough battle for MS to take over the Nintendo DS. Nintendo owns the handheld computer market since the first game of the boys were introduced, it is not the official Nintendo give up easily.

I have heard rumors that Microsoft has been working portable Xbox will be as good as the game graphics. Is this true? If this is the case when out?

The rumors have been there for some time. I think that Microsoft took this path, but that this was not worth that have not yet tried to do so. (That is, if they can even do it well enough with other handheld devices).
Microsoft may still do a cost and function is justified, but it did not happen until the next out DS and PSP, this may not be at least one or two years.

The Xbox does not carry any information.

Gizmondo in the Windows CE there is no basis for the Xbox, which was more like handheld computers and the GPU. This is not a the Xbox, however, is not strong.

I know this is just a mock up, and it looks nice, but surely it would make more sense to put a d-pad on the left rather than cut and paste the front of an ipod?

If the portable device from microsoft is everything the PSP is but better....and available in black...then i would get one. Anything less and as a PSP user i wouldnt feel the want to change.

This is the rumored ZuneX, a competitor for the iphone. Everyone including Sony (with their PSP Phone) has to join the bandwagon because the iphone is starting to dominate the smartphone arena and eventually the mobile gaming arena (and everything else mobile). Basically, everyone has no choice but to follow suit.

This is the future, and I already intend to buy the ZuneX ever since it was rumored some months ago.

The only draw back is that Microsoft is building it with a 14inch long 3 inch wide power brick and this "portable" device cannot run off batteries -- it must be plugged in. On the plus side the cord is a very generous 3ft in length.

And the boot time is clocking in at 7mins as it is running a "lighter" version of Vista.

Nintendo better watch out! This looks like a DS killer!
