Japan Review Check: Dragon Quest VI, Reginleiv
- Dragon Quest VI (9/9/8/8, 34 points): Square Enix's latest RPG, a remake of a game originally released 15 years ago in Japan, is already a big hit over there, with a million copies shipped to stores and sales moving along very briskly.
Overall Famitsu had few serious issues to complain about. "It's a remake, but not just a remake," one editor said. "It's fully tuned for the Nintendo DS, so it feels totally fresh as you play it. There's nothing I can call 'astounding' in the added features, but being able to chat with party members at a touch of the B button is kind of a nice experiment."
Other reviewers had "the impression that the battles have been made just a tad easier for the casual-gamer crowd," although that wasn't enough to affect the scores much. More serious quibbles: no robust online functionality, the lack of a full monster-catching

Is Wii MotionPlus good? What is the difference from it to normal wii gameplay? Please explain?
I've been on holiday and I am a bit behind. Can someone please help me? I have a wii and i want to know what this Wii MotionPlus is? Is it worth the money?
In my opinion, Wii MotionPlus is very good and makes the gameplay much better.
It is an attachment which plugs into the Nunchuk socket, and it basically is more sensitive to your movements in gameplay. Have you ever been playing and then the sensor doesnt pick up your motions correctly and it makes you frustrated?! This really makes gameplay more enjoyable.
I think it is definately worth the money!!!
Look up videos for Wii Sports Resort swordfighting on YouTube. hey are good examples of what the thing can do.
Does anybody know if the Wii MotionPlus has to be used on Wii Sports Resort?
Im gonna get the game and me and my brother are gonna play and was wondering if I needed another Wii MotionPlus?
LOL, this is ask at least 5 times a day.
Wii MotionPlus is required for Wii Sports resort. Everyone that wants to keep playing all the latest Wii games needs to understand that they are going to need to get the M+. Most if not all future Nintendo made Wii games are going to require M+. The new Zelda is confirmed M+ only as is Red Steal 2.
Once you try it you won't have any trouble wanting one for all your controllers. There are two game out now that are sold with M+ for an extra $10, Tiger Woods 10 and Grand Slam tennis. Wii sports resort will come with one and so will Red steal 2.
I have Tiger Woods 10 and Grand Slam tennis and once I played these games with and without M+ I went and bought 2 more Wii MotionPlus attachments. The new level of control is unbelievable, I hope all games, Nintendo and 3rd party require it in the future.
Playing a game without is like flying a paper airplane and playing a game with M+ is like flying a real airplane. That is the difference in control. I would NEVER play a game that could use M+ without it and once you try it you'll never want to either.
When are they Going to realse The Wii MotionPlus?
When is the realse date? Also if i have old games like the zelda twilight princess or whatever or the first wii sports, will the wii moition plus work for those or will it onnly work for the new games?
Spring 2009 was the vague release date given at E3, however it would be impossible for past games to utilize it, as games must be programmed to use any hardware, and since wii motion is new no past games where programed to take advantage of it because they wouldn't have known of it.
Is the wii motionplus controller worth it?
I heard that it wasn't worth it and it was, is there really any difference? I also heard that it doesn't apply to all Wii games? What exactly is it anyway?
I think in the future, as more games take advantage of the peripheral and begin to incorporate it into gameplay, it will be worth it. However, as it stands there are very few games that actually support the MotionPlus and I've heard out of those very few games, only one or two actually use it to enhance the game rather than just sticking it in there for the heck of it.
The MotionPlus is an attachment that goes on the bottom of the Wii Remote. It gives it the ability to better detect motion in a 3d capacity, which means that what it picks up is far more realistic than before. Basically instead of just detecting fast motion in a certain direction, it can actually pick up all of your actions in real time and show them on the screen as you make them.
I've heard that the Wii MotionPlus accessory really does work, but the problem is that all of the games that came out before it's release (which was this summer) and a lot of games that came after it don't support it.
Unless you want a game that requires it, like Wii Sports Resort, I would wait until more games take advantage of it in the future, when it will really be worth it.

Wii Zelda a MotionPlus-exclusive, may be shown at E3 | Marthee's ...
In traditional Nintendo fashion, the company has been very secretive about the upcoming Legend of Zelda game on the Wii. We knew it existed , but not much else. Now series producer Eiji Aonuma has revealed a few details about the upcoming game.
Speaking to Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu (via andriasang ), Aonuma revealed that he's hoping to be able to show off the game at this year's E3. This would mark the first look at the game, as up until now we've only seen a single piece of artwork .
"I'd like to show something playable," he said. And though Aonuma wasn't able to provide a firm release date, he did say that he's been pushing the development team for a 2010 release.
Aonuma also confirmed that the game will require the Wii MotionPlus peripheral. "After actually making it compatible, it just feels so natural. Link's sword and the controller that you're holding become one," he explained. Whether or not this means the game will be bundled with the peripheral remains to be seen.
As good as Twilight Princess was, this new Zelda will be the first in the series developed exclusively for the Wii. And given what a breath of fresh air Phantom Hourglass was when the series introduced a touchscreen control scheme, we're more than a little excited to see what they can do with the Wii's motion-sensitive controller.
This year E3 will be taking place June 15-17. Zelda fans stay ...
